Riya Bhattacharjee
President

Riya grew up in Allentown, PA and studied Biology and Business Administration at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. She moved to Texas in 2008 for work as an account manager for GE Healthcare. Riya has consistently been an active member and leader of various South Asian organizations and other non-profit organizatons. She is also a graduate of General Electric's corporate leadership program. Last year, Riya served on the NetIP Dallas board as the Community Service Chair, and is excited to lead this year’s board as President. In her free time, Riya loves to dance, travel, shop, and volunteer.

Nobby Ahluwalia
VP of Finance

Nobby grew up in Stephenville, Texas and received his Masters in Accounting and Bachelors in Finance from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. He works at Kimberly-Clark Corporation as a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst. This is Nobby’s second year with NetIP Dallas, and is serving on the Board as the VP of Finance. Outside of work, he like to watch movies, play tennis, cook, discuss politics, and enjoy time with friends and family. He is an avid sports fan, most notably of the Dallas Mavericks, for which he has season tickets.

Ryan Ray

Don't let the name fool you, he is Indian...Bengali to be exact. Ryan grew up in the suburbs of Dallas and went to the University of Texas at Austin, where he received a Bachelors degree in Economics. Shortly after college, Ryan moved back to Dallas and is presently working as a healthcare consultant for Medsynergies. This company offers revenue cycle and operations management for health systems. Starting in January 2010, he will have begun a Masters in Public Health from UT-School of Public Health. Apart from work and school, Ryan likes to spend his time swimming, cooking, working out at the gym, going to happy hours with friends and his favorite genre of movies is comedy (i.e. The Hangover)...that kind of humor.

Jasmin Rohman

Jasmin was born in Chicago Ill, but grew up in the DFW Metroplex. She has a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Dallas and is currently pursuing her Masters in Systems Engineering at Southern Methodist University. She has been employed at Raytheon for the last 7 years and is currently working on the F22 Raptor Program. She has been involved with several non-profit organizations in the DFW Metroplex and in 2009 she served as the Cultural Awareness Pillar chair for NetIP Dallas. Her passion for the organization led her to take on an increasing role of responsibility as the VP of Events which is responsible for oversight of the 4 Pillar chairs. Her hobbies include reading, going to museums, working out, trying new restaurants, cooking, and volunteer work.

Karthik Muraliraj

Karthik grew up in Fort Worth, Texas and received his Bachelors in Economics and Business Foundations from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a Financial Advisor with AXA Advisors, LLC, working with individuals and small business owners. This is Karthik's second year with NetIP Dallas, and he is looking forward to a fun year as the Third Thursday Chair. He’s a big movie buff, and as a former DJ he likes to keep up with what’s new on the music scene. In his spare time he also enjoys playing sports, hanging out, and cooking.

Vishal Bagchi

Vishal is from Ahmedabad, Gujarat but grew up in Dallas. He has a Clinical Dietetics Degree from University Of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and works in the field of Critical Care and Nephrology Nutrition. He plays mridanga, naal and other percussion instruments from India on a regular basis and at the Temple during bhajans and kirtans. He also likes to play sports, workout and experiment with cooking high protein vegetarian meals. He is very adventurous and spontaneous when it comes to traveling. Vishal is fluent in Gujarat, Hindi and Bengali

Hoshi Kamiya

Hoshi grew up in Kobe, Japan and came to the US for her degree of Interior Design from Washington State University. She works at HOK as an interior designer where she deals with commercial interior and architecture for corporate clients. Her interest in volunteering and friendship with NetIP brought her into the group. Professional development topics have always been her focus. Besides work, she enjoys working out, cooking, hanging out and visual and performing arts.

Palvi Waghela

Palvi was born in Nairobi, Kenya and moved with her family to College Station in 1990. She went to school at both Texas A&M University as well as Blinn College. She has a degree in Radiology Technology. While at Texas A&M she was part of many cultural events such as Talent shows, Volunteer work, Hindu Students Council and Indian Students Association. She was also part of the Hindu Society of the Brazos Valley, and contributed her time at many events thru volunteer work or being part of their cultural events. As a new member of NetIP, she will focus on bringing new and different cultural events throughout 2010. Her hobbies include: Hindi Movies, Photography, Traveling, Dancing, Modeling, Reading, Cooking, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Neilesh Bose

Neilesh grew up in northeastern locations like Boston and Pittsburgh and studied a variety of subjects, including anthropology, at the University of Pittsburgh for his undergraduate B.A. For his graduate training, he earned an A.M. in Social Sciences at the University of Chicago and a PhD in South Asian history at Tufts University. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor of History at the University of North Texas in Denton. New to the Dallas community, Neilesh has always been active in the political, cultural, and arts-related communities of wherever he has found himself throughout the world. Neilesh is excited to serve as Political Chair during 2010. In his spare time, Neilesh enjoys theatre, opera, traveling, cooking, tennis, racquetball, and embracing the reality that he is a currently a Texan.

Vikram grew up in Bombay and has been in Dallas for the past 5 years. He has a Bachelors in Economics and did his Computer Science from Sanjose State University. He is an IT professional with a Fortune 500 company in the Healthcare industry. He is a movie buff and has seen every Amitabh Bachan movie atleast twice. This is his second year on the board and loving every bit of it.....

Tarana is from Delhi and has been in Dallas for the last 5 yrs. Being an Army Officers daughter she has travelled extensively throughout India. She joined Netip to be meet Desi crowd in Dallas and make new friends. She has a Masters in Marketing and later transitioned into IT-Web production and Design. She loves painting, watching movies and talking to her sisters on the phone.

Nirav Chatterji

Nirav grew up in Ft. Worth Texas and later completed high school in New Delhi, India. He returned to the U.S and received his Bachelors in Economics and Business Foundations from the University of Texas at Austin. He recently moved to Dallas and working as a Global Treasury Management Associate with Bank of America Merrill Lynch, LLC, working with Government and Large Corporate clients. This is Nirav's first year with NetIP Dallas, and he is looking forward to meeting and socializing with new members as the Sports Director for 2010.

Manjesh grew up in Bangalore(now Bengaluru) and moved to Kansas to pursue MS degree in Computer Science at Kansas State University. He moved to Dallas Texas in 2005 for work and never thought of going anywhere else. He is a Senior Software Engineer/Consultant at Avalon Consulting LLC. Before joining Avalon he has also worked at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Layered Technologies. In the spare time Manjesh likes to listen to good music, travel, sports(Cricket/NBA/NFL), socialize and find innovative ways to keep people around him happy.

Swati grew up in Bombay and has been in Dallas for the past 9 years. She works as a consultant with a Fortune 500 Consulting company and enjoys traveling for work. Her interests include running, music, reading, blogging and painting using different techniques and materials. As a new member to Net-ip she will focus on being the national liasion.

Barkha Naik

Barkha Naik was born in Chicago, IL then moved to Pune India for about a year before moving to Columbia, TN and finally Longview, TX. Barkha moved to Dallas 6 years ago and loves it here! She has a Bachelors in Advertising from University of Texas in Arlington. Barkha then worked in the fashion field for two years before deciding that she wanted to do something more rewarding. She then went into teaching and has loved it ever since. Barkha currently teaches preschool and is attending Dallas Montessori Academy for her certification. She hopes to some day own her own Montessori School. During her down time, Barkha loves to shop, listen to music, workout, hangout with friends and family and EAT!! Barkha is excited and looking forward to making a difference on the NetIP Dallas board.
